Clair Health Raises $11.6 Million for Wearable Hormone Tracking

The funding round, led by Khosla Ventures with participation from a16z speedrun and Anne Wojcicki, supports the development of a device equipped with 10 biosensors, including a proprietary biomagnetic sensor. Unlike standard smartwatches that rely on basic optical or temperature readings, this hardware is designed to track markers related to perimenopause, endometriosis, and PMDD. The company plans to ship units in November, priced at $369 alongside a $9.99 monthly subscription.

Beyond hardware, Clair Health utilizes a unique voice-based onboarding process. By training an AI model on voice-based biomarkers, the system can determine a user’s current cycle phase after only a few minutes of conversation. This data-first approach is bolstered by partnerships providing access to millions of electronic health records, intended to move women’s health tracking away from manual logging and toward objective, longitudinal analysis. For many, this represents a significant shift from the current reliance on intermittent blood tests to understand hormonal efficacy.
