Darick Robertson

Darick W. Robertsonis an American comic book artist best known for co-creating and illustrating major titles including Transmetropolitan and The Boys.

Robertson became widely recognized for his work on Transmetropolitan, the cyberpunk comic series he co-created with writer Warren Ellis. Published from 1997 to 2002, the series became one of his defining projects and helped establish his reputation for energetic, detailed and politically sharp visual storytelling.

He later co-created The Boys with writer Garth Ennis. The comic, published from 2006 to 2012 and revived in 2020, became one of Robertson’s most prominent works, especially after its adaptation into the Amazon Prime Video television franchise.

Across more than three decades in the comics industry, Robertson has illustrated hundreds of comics. His work includes creator-owned science fiction projects as well as stories featuring major Marvel and DC Comics characters. His style is often associated with expressive character work, gritty action and dense urban worlds.

Through Transmetropolitan, The Boys and his extensive mainstream comics work, Robertson has become a significant figure in modern comic book art, known for helping shape stories that mix satire, violence, science fiction and social commentary.
