Ruth Langsford

Ruth Langsfordis an English television presenter with a long-standing career in British daytime television. Born Ruth Wendy Langsford, formerly known as Ruth Holmes, she has become one of ITV’s most recognisable on-screen personalities.

Langsford is best known for her work on This Morning, where she appeared between 1999 and 2022, making her the programme’s longest-serving presenter. Alongside her flagship role, she has fronted a range of lifestyle and factual shows, including Gift Wrapped (2014), How the Other Half Lives (2015–2019), and Ruth Langsford’s Fashion Edit, which launched in 2017 and continues to air.

In addition to her presenting work, Langsford has been a regular panellist on the ITV daytime talk show Loose Women since 1999. She rejoined the programme as a main presenter in 2014, further cementing her association with the show’s candid discussions around relationships, family life, and current affairs.

Expanding beyond presenting, Langsford competed in the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, finishing in ninth place and showcasing her versatility outside the studio. Her career is marked by longevity, consistency, and a strong connection with daytime television audiences.
